The G.
Fred DiBona, Jr. Building in Philadelphia is a striking example of
post-modern architecture, although skyscraperpage.com also considers it
late modern as well. Completed in 1990, designed by WZMH Architects,
its color and "ditches" of windows make it appear as if make of
Legos (R), it is 45 stories high. |
The
tallest granite-domed skyscraper in the world, the Wachovia
Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina was designed by architect
Cesar Pelli and incorporates Moravian themes, reflecting the cultural
roots of the original settlements in Winston and Salem. It has 34
floors and stands 460 feet high. It was completed in 1995. |
