Perhaps reminiscent of Venice's Bridge of Sighs, the enclosed Gothic
"flying" bridge over Winetavern Street in Dublin, Ireland,
connects Christ Church Cathedral to Synod Hall. The bridge dates
only to the 1870s and was added during a renovation of the Christ Church
Cathedral (pictured lower right), which itself dates to the Eleventh Century, although much of
the current church is the result of Nineteenth Century restoration.
This arch bridge has typical features of the Gothic revival.
