Also
known as the Eighth Street Bridge in Allentown, Pennsylvania, this 17
span, reinforced concrete arch bridge was built between 1912 and 1913 by
the Lehigh Valley Transit Company. It is 2,650 feet long, 138 feet
high and crosses the Little Lehigh River. The open spandrel arches
are striking. Meyers, for whom it is named, conducted the Allentown
Band.
